“The Diary of Anne Frank”

October 14-16

The Little Theater of Jefferson City presents “The Diary of Anne Frank” October 14-16 at the Miller Performing Arts Center.  In this powerful new adaptation, Anne Frank emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit and determination. An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, The Diary of Anne Frank captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence—their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief. Newly discovered writings from The Diary, as well as survivor accounts, are interwoven to create an impassioned story of the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule. This is an adaptation for a new generation able to confront the horrors of the Holocaust. Tickets are $15. Visit us online at www.Facebook.com or at our website, www.TLTJC.org,  for ticket, cast and show information.

“Hi-Tops”

October 21-23, 28-30, November 4-6

The Stained Glass Theater of Mid-Missouri (830 E High Street), Jefferson City Christian theater group, presents “Hi-Tops.” Before there was High School Musical, there was Hi-Tops! Hi-Tops is a musical about three novice angels who are sent by Gabriel on a “fact finding mission” to earth as humans to blend in with a bunch of teenagers at a high school to learn first hand what peer pressure is. At the same time Lucifer shows up to try and win some souls for his side. Chaos ensues, and so does a lot of music and dancing. The lessons learned from this musical are invaluable and eternal; no one who sees this musical is ever the same.Shows are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.  For reservations: sgtmidmo@earthlink.net or call (573) 634-5313.
