Jefferson City’s central location and excellent facilities provide the ideal site for your next athletic event. The city is host to numerous baseball and softball tournaments, as well as soccer tournaments, basketball tournaments, and hockey tournaments.  Jefferson City also offers events at some Missouri’s outdoor sports venues like the Missouri River, Jefferson City parks and the Missouri River Pedestrian/Bicycle bridge.

In order to attract outdoor enthusiasts and tap into unique recreational opportunities, the Bureau recently created Jefferson City Outdoors.  Jefferson City Outdoors is a group of sports event planners who work together to coordinate and organize outdoor sporting events.

A few of the many sporting events held in the capital city include the State Track and Field Championships, State Cross Country Championships, Capital City Catfish Tournament and Missouri State Championship Criterium Cycling Races.
